Participants: 2000 children (2 to 18 years of age); 500 overweight 1500 non-overweight
Procedure: Children consult the GP and anthropometry is measured. Number of consultations and accompanying diagnoses are registered. Children and parents fill out the questionnaire at home about demographics, complaints, quality of life and physical activity and dietary behaviour. Additionally, children keep a physical activity diary during the baseline week, which is validated in a subsample (n=100) with an activity monitor.
Follow-up: 6, 12 and 24 months
